Due to promotion, CLAHRC West Midlands is seeking a new Programme Officer. The position is a really great opportunity to be engaged in central CLAHRC activities and offers a springboard for other opportunities that may arise across the patch.
In this busy and varied role you will be responsible for providing consistent and high quality administrative support to the development and success of the National Institute of Health Research Collaborations for Leadership in Applied Health Research and Care West Midlands (NIHR CLAHRC WM).
This will involve supporting the Director and Heads of programme delivery, acting as the first point of contact for a range of enquirers and organising nationwide and internal events, such as conferences and seminars. The post holder will also make a significant contribution to the development of further application(s) to extend the current CLAHRC initiative and to support other related capacity development activities.
You will have experience of delivering excellent service through effective team working and be able to demonstrate the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders at both internal and international level. Evidence of well-developed administration skills and a high level of IT literacy will be required, as will the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and with attention to detail. You will be at ease working in a changing environment, being able to demonstrate flexibility to be involved in a number of operational support activities at a time. Experience of providing administrative support in a Higher Education institute would be advantageous and to be educated to degree level or demonstrate equivalent professional experience.
