PhD Studentship at Warwick Medical School

A fully funded, full time, three-year PhD studentship is available in Warwick Medical School, to commence as soon as possible in 2021. The studentship is part of the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration West Midlands (ARC WM). ARC WM is a £9 million, five-year initiative which started in October 2019.

Last chance for care homes to apply for a free iPad

Care homes have until 23 October 2020 to apply for a free iPad. The iPads are being prioritised for eligible care homes with the greatest need. The aim is to ensure that everyone living in a care home in England can access video consultations and remote care when needed.

New fund to support health and social care teams with implementing innovations and improvements in the West Midlands

WMAHSN has launched the Safety Innovation & Improvement Fund, giving individuals and teams working in health and social care the chance to apply for funding of up to £10,000 to support the spread or adoption of an innovation or improvement resulting in improvements for patients and service users.

AHSNs support initiative to create local NHS ‘innovation hubs’

AHSNs are supporting a new national funding initiative led by the Health Foundation, to support healthcare provider organisations to adopt innovation faster. Launched with support from England’s 15 Academic Health Science Networks, the Adopting Innovation programme opens for expressions of interest on 7 October 2020.
