Industry Call for Life Sciences Sector Innovators - Rural 5G Test Bed

Operating in the rural area where the counties of Shropshire and Worcestershire meet the Department of Culture, Media and Sports (DCMS) funded ‘West Mercia Rural 5G’ will explore infrastructure challenges when planning, building and operating a rural 5G network. The West Mercia 5G team want to test and evaluate 5G enabled technologies that support the delivery of health and social care in rural areas.

National and regional survey results published

8 June 2020

NHS England/Improvement and the Office for Life Sciences commissioned research to explore and evaluate the views of AHSN stakeholders. Savanta ComRes conducted this independent evaluation. With input from AHSNs and commissioners, they developed and ran an online survey and telephone interviews.

Safe tracheostomy care toolkit released for healthcare staff

A toolkit for healthcare staff has been published by the National Tracheostomy Safety Project (NTSP) in collaboration with the AHSN Network and the National Patient Safety Improvement Programmes in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, to support healthcare staff who are looking after patients with tracheostomies.
