NHS England Regional Research Needs Survey Published

The AHSN Network and NHS England commissioned ComRes to conduct a survey that would provide a detailed understanding of the innovation and research needs at local level across all AHSNs. The findings of this project were used to produce an initial statement of innovation and research needs in each AHSN area.

These statements, alongside the regional and national report findings, will be used to facilitate further discussions at regional level, involving patients and the public and the research community, to develop and refine the priorities highlighted.  The West Midlands summary can be found here. The survey highlights a number of key areas which are already priority activities for both the AHSN and CLAHRC WM. Joint working between the AHSN and CLAHRC has been very successful leading to the rapid adoption of a number of innovations both regionally and nationally.  The national report is available on the AHSN Network website – National Survey of Research and Innovation Needs
