The AHSN Network will have a major presence at this year' NHS Expo event, on 11 and 12 September in Manchester.

Alongside our exhibition stand, we will run activities and events including a VIP reception at 6pm on day one, an Innovator Zone with dozens of companies supported by AHSNs (including OrthOracle from the West Midlands), complete with ‘Open Mic’ sessions for companies. A Giant iTab will display case studies from around the AHSNs on the Atlas website, a recharge unit will be available in the ‘Chill & Charge’ area and our ever-popular cycling barista will be back!

There will also be a series of ‘Pop Up University’ workshops, run by AHSNs and focusing on themes such as patient safety and barriers to spreading innovation. A full list of these and registration is available on the Expo website. The RAIDPlus Integrated Mental Health Urgent Care Test Bed, which is supported by WMAHSN, will also be hosting a stand at Expo.

The AHSN Network will also have two plenary sessions, both on day one:

  • 3 - 4pm  Innovate Stage - Innovation: the roadmap to adoption led by the AHSN Network
  • 4.15 - 5.45pm Theatre 1 - Meet the innovators: The NIA Fellows and the Clinical Entrepreneurs led by the AHSN Network and the Innovation Team, NHS England.

Expo is our major annual showcase, and last year our stand was visited by key people including government ministers and NHS Chief Executive Simon Stevens.
