WMAHSN Meridian launch event a huge success

More than 100 people from the NHS, academic and industry sectors packed out the Vox Conference Centre on 1 March for the launch of the Meridian health innovation exchange.

It was standing room only as the audience gathered to hear a selection of speakers talk about the impact of healthcare innovation, including David Johnson, who spoke of the importance of innovation from a carer's perspective, and Dr Damian Williams, GP at Hall Green Health, Clinical Lead for Birmingham CrossCity CCG and Digital Clinical Champion with NHS England, who discussed the importance of a collaborative approach to innovation. After the WMAHSN team ran through the Innovation and Adoption Service, the benefits and features of Meridian and outcomes and deliverables, it was time for attendees to network and visit the three campaign stations to see how Meridian could be used to address the challenges of the AHSN's priorities and themes

The slide deck from the event is now available, as well as a simple Getting Started guide to assist you in uploading your innovation submissions and campaigns. If you would like additional support or advice on using the site or your submissions, please don’t hesitate to contact Chris Dyke or Joanne Mewis at Medilink West Midlands - they would be more than happy to help.

Your feedback is very important to us and we would greatly appreciate if you could take the time to complete a short survey to give your views on the event.
