This training course is presented by Kevin McGibbon, Arrhythmia Clinical Nurse Specialist at University Hospital of North Midlands who has 16 years of teaching experience.
Kevin will be on hand throughout the webinar to provide support and answer questions via the live chat feature.
The course is aimed at any clinician in both primary and secondary care (GPs, junior doctors, advanced nurse practitioners, practice nurses, community nurses, paramedics, physiologists, physiotherapists, pharmacists, health care support workers, medical students, student nurses and others with some basic knowledge)or individuals in community care. Participants may want to refresh their understanding & interpretation of 12 lead ECG recordings, or build up those skills from scratch (e.g., medical students, student nurses).
On completion of this course, participants should have the confidence to check any 12 lead ECG and have a good idea if it is normal or not; you will be able to deduce the likely diagnosis of the heart rhythm; likelihood and location of heart muscle damage, when you take into account your patient’s presentation and clinical history.
You will be given access to download a handbook to accompany the course and use for note-taking. You will be given access to the full presentation via a link for 2 months after the course.
Following completion of all 9 modules and case scenarios, participants will be sent a CPD certificate of attendance for their records.
The course is offered at a specially discounted price of £20 for both sessions.
