Brain waves and brain storms

10 October 2017 Great Hall, Aston University, Aston Triangle, Birmingham B4 7ET

Our perception of the world is a product of fluctuating electrical signals in our brain. These signals can now be measured across our brain. We will consider the latest techniques to explore the brain and will journey from the science lab to the operating theatre, where these new techniques are used to help people to live normal lives. Join Professor Paul Furlong, Director of Aston Brain Centre, The Clinical Neurophysiology Unit and The Wellcome Trust Laboratory for MEG Professor of Clinical Neuroimaging at Aston University, for this free event.

Prior booking is essential. This lecture will be of general interest and is also suitable for students of A-level Biology.
