Sepsis – Think Sepsis

25 May 2017 Institute of Translational Medicine, Heritage Building (Queen Elizabeth Hospital), Mindelsohn Way, Birmingham B15 2TH

The Innovation Team at University Hospitals Birmingham Hospital NHS Foundation Trust will be regularly hosting research events in the Institute of Translational Medicine, Heritage Building. The first event's theme will be ‘Sepsis – Think Sepsis’, and the speakers include:

  • Dr Tony Whitehouse, Consultant Critical Care and Anaesthesia, presenting Sepsis – The Patient Journey
  • Dr Tom Clutton-Brock, Clinical Director, NIHR Trauma Management Healthcare Technology Cooperative, presenting Technology in Sepsis
  • External speaker - TBC.

The aim of the research event is to promote the work of the Innovation Team to increase SME investment in research and innovation by enabling SMEs to participate in solving the challenges of larger organisations. The two fold approach of lowering the risk of innovation and increasing the market demand results in a more effective and sustainable method of bringing new products, processes and services to market.
