Antimicrobial Resistance Sandpit

23 November 2016 Chancellor's Suite, University of Warwick, Coventry CV4 7AL

The Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Sandpit is a funding competition jointly organised by the NIHR Clinical Research Network: West Midlands and the University of Warwick. It is open to all UK healthcare professionals and researchers interested in tackling any aspect of AMR.

It is a full day event, which will begin with short talks from the Clinical Research Network, Public Health England and senior research academics. There will then be opportunities for attendees to split into groups, network and develop project ideas. Attendees can come with specific projects ideas in mind or join/form/develop them at the event itself.

In the afternoon, groups will be asked to nominate a representative to pitch their idea to a Dragon’s Den style panel of experts.
The top three ideas will be invited to submit a full application for up to £25,000.
