MakerClub launch

13 September 2016 iCentrum, Innovation Birmingham Campus, Faraday Wharf, Holt Street, Aston, Birmingham B7 4BB

Do you have a young inventor in the family between the ages of 9 and 16? Put rockets boosters on their imagination! Are they Minecraft-mad, love coding or can’t stop building things out of cardboard? Sounds like they might be a maker!

On 13 September, MakerClub launches in Birmingham at the newly opened EagleLabs at iCentrum in Birmingham. MakerClub weekly afterschool sessions have inspired thousands of young people to discover their inner inventor. With expert mentors, access to amazing equipment and a dash of imagination, your kids can create anything.

Join this totally free taster event, where you’ll learn to build your own robots, meet our awesome mentors and have a play with some of the incredible hands-on equipment, such as 3D printers and laser cutters.

MakerClub was named as one of 2016’s top 50 most creative companies in the UK by Creative England and the Guardian.

For these taster sessions, all children must be accompanied by an adult. When booking, please just register tickets for your children. Adults do not need a ticket. Sessions last about 45 minutes. Book your session early to avoid disappointment at Eventbrite.
