For anyone is who is looking at making a fellowship application within the next four to six months, Research Design Service West Midlands is holding a Fellowship Event on 20 November at The Michael Tippet Room, Staff House, University of Birmingham. The event will provide an overview of the current NIHR Fellowship schemes and insights into the requirements of the interview panel. There will also be the opportunity of some 1-2-1 slots with our PPI advisers. The main theme of the event is to give delegates an overview of incorporating Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) in research design. NIHR is committed to embedding PPI into everyday practice within health and social care organisations. Applications that contain evidence of well conducted PPI are more likely to be successful.
If you are intending to apply for the January 2016 round of the NIHR Fellowship scheme, or any other fellowship funding stream, you are encouraged to attend. Attendance is free of charge and lunch will be provided. Places are limited so if you would like to attend you are advised to enrol as soon as possible.
Please email Mel Guthrie with your name, trust or organisation, the fellowship scheme you are considering, your proposed project title, your email address and mobile number. Please also indicate if you would like a 1-2-1 session, but be advised that as there is limited capacity on the da,y it may be necessary to rearrange this as an email consultation.
