West Midlands Powerhouse breakfast

17 September 2015 Alpha Tower, Suffolk Street, Queensway, Birmingham B1 1TT

The moves towards creating a West Midlands Powerhouse are accelerating quickly. A combined authority covering Birmingham, Coventry and the Black Country is being created and the region is looking for devolved powers and spending from Whitehall, similar to those given to Manchester. But what does a Midlands Powerhouse mean for business? What’s being offered? And how can you make your voice heard?

This agenda-setting breakfast event will be one of the first opportunities for the region’s business community to influence the process and make its views known to those driving the debate. You’ll get the chance to hear directly from the top table, and put your questions to those in power. Speakers include:

  • Sir Albert Bore, leader, Birmingham City Council
  • Paul Thandi, chief executive, NEC
  • Paul Faulkner, chief executive, Birmingham Chamber
  • Stewart Towe, chair, Black Country LEP
  • Neil Rami, chief executive, Marketing Birmingham
  • Martin Reeves, chief executive, Coventry City Council
  • Prof Vicky Pryce, economist
